8. Walk On Comment: NOTE (from J.C. (name shortened by U2shn.com)): C. did just as good of a job recording the
concerts in the upper Midwest as he did in Texas. Hard to believe, but
true. Those of you who have heard "Deep In the Heart...of Texas" or "Old
School: U2 In Dallas" know how good C's recordings sound. This show is
very similar to those bootlegs. Again, crowd noise is no problem whatsoever
and sound clarity is fantastic. The only flaws are a few small pops at
approximately 0:25 of "Help". The sound on this bootleg isn't quite as
sharp and powerful as it is on the recording from the previous night.
Therefore, as I did with C's Indianapolis recording for similar reasons,
I have rated this recording as "EX AUD" instead of "EX+ AUD". Even so, it
is still better than almost every other Elevation bootleg out there.
Bono has problems with his voice for the first time on the Elevation tour.
"The Ground Beneath Her Feet" and "With Or Without You" are pulled from the
setlist as a result. Bono avoids high notes throughout the concert, making
for some interesting renditions. "Help" is totally butchered from the
beginning, with The Edge first screwing up the guitar accompaniment and then
Bono forgetting the lyrics. A little more the thirty seconds in Bono simply
stops and the crowd goes wild.
